In a bid to comply the aim of the ‘Janani Sewa’ scheme launched by the railway minister Suresh Prabhu early this month, Bhubaneswar railway station is soon going to avail baby food at the station.

Janani Sewa is to provide hot milk, hot water and baby food on the trains.

After the announcement by the railway minister the East Coast Railway (ECoR) have also instructed its three divisions Khurda Road, Sambalpur and Visakhapatnam to make baby food available at the stations.

The ECoR chief public relation officer, J.P Mishra has informed that hot milk has been made available at important stations and by the end of July all other baby food items will also be made available. In addition he informed, hot milk is available at the Omfed stalls and the prices will be soon notified and the other baby foods too will be soon made available at the market prices.

The parents of small kids travelling will now get the essential food items for their babies at the rail premise. The initiative was taken after a travelling mother tweeted and complained about the problems faced by her due to the unavailability of milk in the railway station.
