Bhubaneswar: In matter of pride, Odia girl Aditi Parida has topped the Combined Defence Services (CDS) II, 2019 examination (women).

As per reports, a merit list of a total of 241 candidates has been released. Of which 174 candidates are there who have qualified for  Officers Training Academy, Chennai for the Short Service Commission Course (non-technical) for men and 67 candidates, who cleared the examination for Officers Training Academy, Chennai, Short Service Commission Women (non-technical) course.

The daughter of a brigadier of the Indian Army and native of Nadhara village in Dhenkanal district, Aditi is also credited with being the champion of the National Debate Competition between Army schools in 2016. Sources said that she is a very good volleyball player, and has represented her university.

Besides, she is also the first woman from Odisha to top the CDS exam and has been selected for the training of a military officer.

The CDS aspirant has completed her graduation in mass communication from Symbiosis College, Pune in the summer of this year and is also the topper of her batch 2017-2020.

Aditi, who is a combination of knowledge and art, is also a fine classical dancer of Odissi and Bharatanatyam.
